Idyll at 1,375 metres!

A special highlight of your summer holiday in Walchsee is a visit to our farm's own alpine pasture in the Heuberge area to enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and as far as Reit im Winkl and Kössen in a sunny location at 1,375 metres above sea level.

Our rustic alpine pasture is a special feast for the eyes! Although it is of course also inexorably exposed to the "ravages of time", great importance has been attached to preserving its originality, which tells a lot about rural culture in our Alpine region.

Our alpine pasture is a popular destination for hikers and bikers to take a break and enjoy the wonderful nature.

Our cows spend the summer from June to September on the alpine pastures, where they have plenty of room to run around and really enjoy the fresh grasses and alpine herbs - and we taste that in our good hay milk! Our guests are welcome to taste for themselves the unique taste and high quality of our organic hay milk. Some guests with milk intolerances were able to enjoy our milk without any problems.

Unique

In 2011, 2020, 2021 2022 and 2023, the Hagerhof was awarded the "Almmilchgütesiegel". This is a special award for the quality of alpine milk, especially as only the 5 best of a total of 2700 Tyrolean alpine pastures receive this distinction. Currently, we have achieved 2nd place in 2021, i.e. the silver medal.
